Creative Bicycle Corporation Founded in 1976, Creative Bicycle Corp. is the leading manufacturer of high-end bicycles, selling more than 20 models in the United States. It procures spare parts from various vendors and assembles them. The main reason behind the success of the Creative Bicycles Corp. was its ability to understand the market trend and act accordingly. When its competitors were thinking of using some option to implement its business process, it had already implemented an ERP system for the same. For this, it had implemented a Customer Relationship Management(CRM) system. Within a year of implementation, the CRM system had helped double the organization’s profit.

The Current System:

The Current System Analyzing the Information : The current information system provides reports for most of the processes. However, these reports are not in an easy-to-analyze format. Sharing Information : The HR department does not have a platform where the employees can share information and work in a collaborative manner. Gathering Feedback : Procurement of feedback from the employees is not provided by this system .

The Envisioned System:

The Envisioned System Analyzing Information : After analyzing the Information, we come to derive that information across departments should be available to employees in an easy-to-analyze format . Sharing Information : Firstly, there should be a platform where employees can post their queries and discuss about new HR policies. Moreover, reports created in the current information system should be accessible. There should be announcements regarding trainings and events for the months and an option to store and manage leave application form and reimbursement forms . Gathering Feedback : There should also be a feature to get feedbacks regarding employee satisfaction .

DISADVANTAGE OF SHAREPOINT:

DISADVANTAGE OF SHAREPOINT Most annoying thing about SharePoint is undoubtedly unghosted pages. As soon as the page has become unghosted, then it is impossible for you to update Another often happening thing – a feature containing a page layout which in turn has a Web Part is reactivated. After feature reactivation, instantiated page instance of such page layout will now have 2 copies of this Web Part. Absence of support for tags – so each time when you need to develop a social network for a customer, you need to invent a bicycle. Absence of possibility to deploy run-time resources in reasonable way.
