Just hours after the historical moment, Pepsi Cola and 7Up products were available to the first few thousand local consumers in Hochiminh City. The economic sustainability of PepsiCo Vietnam:

The economic sustainability of PepsiCo Vietnam For three years, the company has achieved an operating profit of over US$100 million per year. Along with the group’s main products such as Pepsi, 7up, Mirinda , Aquafina purified water, Twister orange juice, Isotonic 7up Revive and Sting Pro sports drinks, the plant is also expected to produce food products such as Poca potato chips and Poca Cheetos . In August, 2010, PepsiCo pledged to invest US$250 million in Vietnam over the next three years, bringing its total investment in the country to more than US$500 million since PepsiCo products were first launched in Vietnam in 1994. PepsiCo Vietnam employs approximately 2,000 permanent staff and 95 percent of management positions are held by Vietnamese employees.

The environmental sustainability :

The environmental sustainability PepsiCo Vietnam is committed to being an environmentally responsible corporate citizen. Using the glass beverage bottles to reduce environmental impact and can be reused many times. There are creative activities such as meaningful participation of Earth Hour, Green Journey, environmental film ... The company invested in wastewater treatment chain synchronization, strict control of food safety and environmental protection standards of PepsiCo and Vietnam. The company participates in planting trees representing sequence of activities to raise awareness of environmental protection and community activities in Vietnam of PepsiCo.

The social sustainability:

The social sustainability PepsiCo’s understanding of social responsibility is a key factor of its success. The company made a contribution of 1.2 billion Vietnamese Dong to improve education. The company has the charity, community activities such as "Friendship Charity Golf Tournament Pepsi", and to support the "Day singer". Sponsored competitions for young talents such as Dynamic, Road to Success, the scholarship program for talented students, overcoming difficulties, etc. PepsiCo Vietnam has concerned community support, support poor families, families encounter unexpected difficulties due to storms and floods, especially in poor communities living in the Truong Son mountains, through program of the SGGP Newspaper. In 2009, PepsiCo and the program means love Truong Son built a clinic in La Dom, Duc Co, Gia Lai and in 2010, the situation along the Truong Son, the program supports medical equipment for this clinic
