His tomb was discovered in 1922 by an archaeologist named Howard Carter at the Valley of The Kings . His death under mysterious conditions has been the subject of much speculation. Many theories regarding his death as stated are: 1) He was murdered in conspiracy involving his own family & friends. 2)Some claim that he died in a battle. 3) King Tut could have also succumbed to infection or illness due to a plague that ravaged Egypt during his time. A team of specialists in radiology, forensics, and anatomy subjected his mummy to a computer tomography (CT) scan . The CT scan found no trace of lethal trauma to King Tut's head, refuting the claim that he died from a blow to the head. The maturity of the skeleton and wisdom teeth confirms that Tut was about 19 years old when he died. Based on these findings, it is possible that something out of the ordinary caused King Tut's death. But the experts are still unsure because of the damage Carter's team inflicted on the mummy during excavation. Still two questions remain unanswered, how & when the pharaoh died?
