Blu-ray Encryption Technology :

Blu-ray Encryption Technology With the extensive use of Blu-ray, the encryption technology for Blu-ray copyright protection becomes more and more important. As well as the DVD using CSS as its copyright protection technology, Blu-ray also has its own specific Blu-ray DRM system. In this article, we are going to introduce the new Blu-ray encryption technology BD Plus for you. Tips: If you have Blu-ray discs in hand and want to enjoy Blu-ray movies on your handled devices like iDevices, PSP, Zune, etc, the AVCWare Blu Ray Ripper would be an ideal program for you to realize your dream of enjoying Blu-ray movies on the go. If you once want to write your data onto Blu-ray (BD-R, BD-RE) discs for backup, the Blu-ray DVD Creator can help you much. Blu-ray Encryption Technology - BD Plus AACS was the first common encryption system used by both HD DVD and BD during the high definition optical disc format war. Besides the AACS, Blu-ray also took use of the BD Plus (BD +) as a Blu-ray encryption technology. BD + become an increasingly prominent role after the Advanced Access Content System been cracked in the December of 2006. Because of the rapid collapse of the AACS, the major film companies are very worried about the DVD piracy could happen again. The supports for BD by film studios had also been affected by the rapid collapse of AACS. BD Plus, which was release on June 29, 2007, is a specially designed encryption method for Blu-ray disc. Since AACS had been given sabotage frequently, BD + deployed new digital rights management (DRM) mechanisms to win back the trust of Hollywood.

Slide 2:

BD + system will scramble on the program during producing the programs. The system set multiple locations to interfere the program and these disturbances are based on certain rules. The destructed locations are stored in a correction table, and the destructing rules are encrypted as the content code. There is a BD + virtual machine in each BD player. Each player has its own key to decrypt the correction table and the content code to the virtual machine when playback Blu-ray disc. In short, BD Plus is equivalent to the placement of a highly efficient virtual machine in high-definition player, which can embed the executable files in. The BD + virtual machine can be used to diagnose the surrounding environment to detect whether the player is modified, or check whether the key has been changed. If everything is normal, then the output video and audio will be all right, otherwise the video will be deliberately damaged or modified to avoid the user to extract (RIP) data stream for the purposes of piracy. Compared with the AACS, BD + encryption is much more complex. It can take special protection for Blu-ray disc, and the encryption password is closely related to the film in the Blu-ray disc. So if you must want to extract BDRip, you must go head to reverse factory crack for each Blu-ray disc one by one. That's all about Blu-ray encryption technology. If you want to play Blu-ray on your media player without considering about the copy protection, just give a try to AVCWare Blu Ray Ripper , which can meet your any needs on Blu-ray ripping.
