And we call can’t live without a little shopping! :

And we call can’t live without a little shopping!  Daily shopping, gifts for family and friends, antiques, knick-knacks, things for your home, local products ... you can find all this in Cambrils shops, which are bustling with activity throughout the year and are an important part of the local economy. The main shopping areas are the seaside promenade and the port, and the narrow streets loaded with history in the old town, where visitors and locals alike can shop while strolling through the town. It's fun to just watch as friendly shopkeepers deal amicably with their customers. The town’s municipal market, in the old town, is a must-see when you are doing your shopping and strolling. The weekly market in the old town has a wide variety of stalls where you can buy just about anything. Also, let's not forget the local produce and, of course the star of the show, DO Siurana olive oil, considered one of the best olive oils in the world. To sum up, the quality and diversity of products offered here makes shopping in Cambrils a temptation that is impossible to resist.

Barcelona:

Barcelona Barcelona offers an infinite number of places to visit. Here we can name but a few of the best-known: the Sagrada Família , the Museum of Modern Art, the Catalan National Art Museum, the Picasso Museum, the Eixemple neighbourhood, la Pedrera (a famous building by Gaudí ), Park Güell (a park designed by Gaudí ), Camp Nou (the football stadium), Montjuic castle and the Zoo. Near the sea, leisure activities are centred around the port area called the Port Olímpic (Olympic Port). There is an Imax cinema, the Maremàgnum and the Aquàrium . Getting around in Barcelona is easy using the metro, the tram or tourist buses, which visit all the most popular locations. Tickets can be purchased at the Barcelona Tourist Office. Getting from Cambrils to Barcelona: There is only one train station in Cambrils . It is located approximately fifteen minutes walk from the centre of Cambrils (the marina area). See below for the location map of the train station in Cambrils . Cambrils Train Station Avenida Verge de Montserrat (no number) 43850 Tel. Renfe : (0034) 90 243 2343 Route of the train from Cambrils to Barcelona The train route from Barcelona stops at the neighbouring town of Salou - a useful place to stop if you are looking for some action and night-life (the town is renowned for its bar and club scene). It then stops at Port Aventura theme park - an adventure park large enough to have its own train station! You will note that the train stops at three different Barcelona stations. It is useful to have a think about which station will be best for you, depending on what you want to do first when you get to Barcelona. Barcelona Sants is Barcelona's largest train station. It offers routes to stations all over the rest of Spain and beyond. It is located the furthest uptown of the three stations - in a reasonably industrial area where there are a lot of conference centres and offices. Barcelona Passeig de Gracia is a station located on one of Barcelona's most affluent and impressive streets - Passeig de Gracia (Take a look at our Photo Guide to Passeig de Gracia ). The street is well-known for both its modernist architecture and its designer shopping. It sits close to Plaza Catalunya - one of Barcelona's largest squares. Barcelona Estacio Franca is the station that sits closest to Barcelona beach. It also offers the quickest route into Barcelona's old town - it is a two minute walk to Barcelona's El Born (click here for a Insider Guide to El Born Neighbourhood ). Montblanc :

Montblanc Montblanc was founded in the 12th century as a royal town by King Alfonso I. The wealth of monuments in Montblanc is unquestionably the town's main attraction. This was recognised in 1947, when it was declared a historic and artistic monument. The most significant structure is the medieval city walls dating from the 14th century. They are the best-preserved walls in Catalonia, and there are thirty tower and many gates. There is also a wealth of interesting religious, military and civil buildings that help to give you a good idea of the importance of Montblanc in the Middle Ages.
