Fear is; A negative thought that creates a negative emotion that creates a negative behaviour. Fear is one of the most strongest emotional responses we have Fear is just energy

Negative side to Fear: 

Negative side to Fear Causes physical Stress Prevents you from making positive changes Diverts your focus and attention away from your goals. Affects your judgement Attacks your self esteem and brings about negative emotions Prevents you from taking risks Weakens you if you let it.

Positive side to Fear: 

Positive side to Fear Emotions are feedback to us Essential for our survival Triggers off the stress response ‘fight or flight’ It keeps you on the top of your game Maintains a zest for life

Some Common Fears Fear of Dying Fear of Failure Fear of Success Fear of rejection Fear of not being good enough Universal or collective fears

What can you do? Acknowledge that you have a choice. Re-define the fear Get to know what your fears are Understand the source of your fears Face your fears – and they will disappear Re-live positive experiences

Exercise: 

Exercise Write down a list of all your fears – include little fears as well as big fears Read them out loud and notice your feelings with each one. Take each fear and write down how this fear affects your life. Prioritise your fears in order of importance to you right now and number them 1,2,3 and so on Choose an easier fear to start with and take baby steps to face it. Build on experience to more harder fears.
