IDEA: Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (PL 108–446) A law created in 1997 as the Education for All Handicapped Children Act , states that children with disabilities in the United States are entitled to services. IDEA regulates how these services and programs are administered. NCLB: No Child Left Behind (PL 107–110) The no child left behind act created in 2001 was founded on four pillars; stronger accountability for results, more freedom for states and communities, proven education methods, more choices for parents. ADAAA: Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (PL 110–325) Created in 1990 The ADAAA protects individuals with disabilities from discrimination in the workplace, as well as school and other settings. EAHC: The Education for All Handicapped Children Act (PL 94-142). This law was created in 1975 to address the needs of many special needs children who were not receiving an adequate education and was founded on 6 components;  1.Zero Reject and a Free and Appropriate Public Education,  2.Nondiscriminatory Identification and Evaluation, 3.Individualized Education Program, 4.The Least Restrictive Environment, 5.Due Process and 6.Parental Participation   IDEA: Building the legacy of IDEA 2004. http://idea.ed.gov/ (accessed June 18, 2011).
