Post-Graduation Industries Half of the graduates were interested in 11 industries from a list of 55 industries. 5% of graduates intend to be employed in the information technology or services industry.

Information Technology: Career Changing Status The majority of respondents entering the IT services industry previously worked in the IT services industry.

Information Technology: Prior Industry among Career Switchers About a quarter of the respondents switching into IT services came from other technology industries, and about a fifth came from the nonprofit/government and products/services industries.

Information Technology: Anticipated Job Level About half of the respondents moving into the IT services industry plan to enter at a mid-level position. Half of the respondents who previously worked in the industry plan to hold a senior-level position, and about one in ten plan to occupy an executive-level position after graduation.

Information Technology: Job Selection Criteria When selecting a job, respondents considered challenging and interesting work, advancement opportunity, and an opportunity for professional development to be the most important criteria.

Information Technology: Expected Change in Salary Overall, respondents entering the IT services industry expected a 55% increase in salary compared with their pre-degree earnings.
