History of teen pregnancy 750,000 teenagers get pregnant every year Teen pregnancy has dropped by 1/3 since 1990 Among black teenagers it has dropped by 40%, Hispanics 19% and whites 34%. 1990 was the highest rate of teen pregnancy, was also the beginning of teenage pregnancy programs.
