Classroom Procedures: Classroom Procedures Ms. White’s
Classroom Rules:: Classroom Rules: Respect yourself and others. Listen quietly and do not interrupt when others are speaking. Keep your hands and feet to yourself. Follow directions. Come to class on time. Do not leave your seat without permission. Obey all school rules.
Classroom procedures: : Classroom procedures: Entering the Classroom: Say good morning. Take out any needed materials from backpack. Put homework in the homework tray. Sit quietly at your desk, and began morning bell ringer work.(On over head projector).
Leaving the Classroom:: Leaving the Classroom: Students should not leave the classroom without teacher’s permission and a hall pass. Remain quiet in the hall way at all time.
Lining up: : Lining up: Line up quietly in alphabetical order. Face forward and walk with your arms folded. No touching, hitting, or talking.
Pencil Sharpening: : Pencil Sharpening: Pencils are to be sharpen before class. Each student should sharpen two pencils. There will be no pencil sharpening during instructional time.
Trash:: Trash: Trash should be thrown away at the beginning or end of class.
Bathroom procedures: Bathroom procedures One boy and one girl may go to the restroom at a time. The students may take the bathroom pass and walk quietly to the restroom. Students must wash their hands before returning to the classroom.
Lunch procedures:: Lunch procedures: Students will line up quietly in alphabetical order. Students will walk quietly in a straight line to the cafeteria. Students will receive their lunch and quietly walk to their seats, sit down and wait for all classmates to be seated before eating. Students will eat their lunch quietly. When finish, the students will clean up their area, empty their trays, and wait for teacher’s permission to line up. Students will walk quietly back to their classroom.
Responding to a fire drill: : Responding to a fire drill: Students will stop what they are doing. Students will leave the room quickly and quietly. The teacher will collect roll book, first aid kit, turn off the lights and close the door after the last student. Students will go to the designated area. Students will then get in line alphabetically. The teacher will call the roll to make sure each student is present. Students will answer “here” and wait for teacher’s instructions. The teacher will signal designated person that all students are present.
Responding to a tornado drill:: Responding to a tornado drill: Students will stop what they are during. Students will leave the room as quickly and quietly as possible. The teacher will pick up roll book, emergency kit, turn off the lights, and close the door after the last students exist the room. Students will go the designated area, sit on the floor in the position practiced. Students will wait for teacher’s instructions.
Attention: : Attention: The teacher will say, “ Eyes on me”. Students are to stop what they are doing, put pencil down, and focus should on the teacher.
Homework:: Homework: Homework assignments will be written on the board. It is the students’ responsibility to make sure they copy down homework assignments.
Dismissal:: Dismissal: Students will clean up their work area, collect backpacks, and wait for teacher’s permission to be dismissed.
