The body of woman experiencing hormone fluctuation levels during menstruation because of causing mood disorders. 75% women who are living in healthy body, or else not have suffered any depression during their periods. Other causes like perceived stress and unhealthy diets contribute significantly to depression realized during menstruations.

The menstrual cycle happen within 28 days, during period which time body release hormones series in preparation for pregnancy. In initial stage of menstrual cycle, the hypothalamus produce follicle-stimulating hormone releasing factor(FSH-RF) and luteinizing hormone(LH). LH and FSH both release the follicles of ovaries, which include egg, to grown-up prepare an egg for release. At this stage of ovaries produce estrogen and keep on continue up to seven days until the egg is sufficient matured fro fertilization. When the levels of estrogen are enough high, the hypothalamus releases a final burst of FSH-RF and encourages the pituitary for releasing large FSH’s surge. The final release of FSH causes the follicle to open and release the egg, initiating ovulation. Throughout ovulation, the body discharges progesterone, which causes the lining of the uterus to thicken.

Progesterone and Estrogen both are main responsible for preparing the reproductive system of pregnancy. Also these hormones have other effects on the woman’s body, which lead other many symptoms that women experience throughout their menstrual cycle. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, more than 80% of women experience physical changes during periods. in some women, these changes effects bloating, cramping and breast tenderness among them – may be inconvenient but manageable. Also many women experience minor changes in their body and may become irritable, have a higher sex drive or even experience euphoria. Some women badly experience PMS (Premenstrual syndrome) described by more intense physical discomfort and depression.

According to the Mayo Clinic, women experience depression twice times than men. Also medical science not clearly says how far premenstrual hormonal changes affect depression. One fact is that, in some women, other types of hormones and estrogen may hamper with serotonin. Because not all women suffer this symptom of depression during periods, also scientist said some women experienced due to genetically predisposed. There is also possibility that some women release excess hormones.
