Anything else? :

Anything else? Yes actually. How does it all work together?

Based on the Cornell Method :

Based on the Cornell Method Left Page Represents all of your notes throughout the day

Slide 36:

Left Page Key Points You can use the tag mark to keep track of areas of your life like this… #photo #recipe #tip #travel This allows you to see at a glance what you have written about the main left hand pane without reading through the text completely.

Slide 37:

Left Page Main Notes Used for expanded ideas, transcripts of meetings, journal entries or absolutely anything that you want. The idea behind the Cornell Method is that you can cover up this panel leaving the Key Points still showing and then test yourself if you need to revise. The left panel should jog your memory and allow you to remember the majority of what you have written here.

Right Page :

Right Page This is for productivity

Slide 39:

Date Panel It is a kick-start. By opening your journal first thing in the morning over a coffee and entering the date you are already taking control of your day. You are establishing the habit that your 100DS is indispensable to you. Once you have started this simple task the other tasks will flow easily and soon your 100DS will be filled with inspiration and to-do lists. The location of the date makes it easy to see at a glance when you are thumbing through it especially if you have lost your place using the thin ribbon strip. Simple no?

Goal Panel :

Goal Panel These items should not be part of your to-do list or outstanding tasks. They are achievements or milestones which you must hit periodically. This panel represents a tick box for each time you accomplish that task. It works brilliantly for daily items such as… Running Writing Weight loss The 13 attributes of Benjamin Franklin Quality time with your family Every time you [TICK] an item you create a chain of accomplishments

Daily Review Panel. Or not. :

Daily Review Panel. Or not. It used to be. But who wants to review their day, every day? So I changed it. It is my 100DS and I can do that. You can too. It is now the Daily Motivational Quote panel. Today’s quote? Knowing is not enough, We must apply. Willing is not enough, We must do. Johann Von Goethe

Task Panels :

Task Panels This set of 4 panels is your to-do list. They are referred to as the Task Panels. They are ranked in priority order.

Priority 1 :

Priority 1 These are tasks which must be completed that day without fail. If possible complete these before opening email. Also use this panel for anything that is required to be completed within the next four hours. Attend Meeting Phone client back Begin sales report

Priority 2 :

Priority 2 These are tasks which should be completed that day as they are important. Also use this panel for anything that is required to be completed within the next 8 hours. Finish sales report Outline chapter six of book Book restaurant Run 6 miles

Priority 3 :

Priority 3 These are personal tasks which you would like to accomplish but if they are delayed it is not a drama. Use this panel to keep track of items which should be completed within 48 hours. Cut garden grass Wash car Write chapter 6 of book

Priority 4 :

Priority 4 These are personal tasks which you file under the heading Leisure. These items are things you like doing but do not really enrich your life or make you more successful. It is amazing how quickly this section fills up with inane activities! Sort CD collection Watch X Factor Play Call of Duty

Time Panel :

Time Panel TB = Time Budgeted for a task C = Completed? TT = Time Taken to complete In order to know where your time slips away to you must record it and that is what this simple tool does for you. Quick Tip If something takes less than 2 minutes? Don’t record it – just do it!!

What about PROJECTS? :

What about PROJECTS? Well remembered. There is no point organising your life if it does not give you the time to pursue your own ambitions? Right?

PROJECTS :

PROJECTS First of all let’s separate the difference between a Project and a Task. A Task goes on your to-do list in one of the panels but a Project is a collection of tasks which work towards a common aim. A perfect example to illustrate this is learning a foreign language. Learning German would be considered a Project. The tasks that comprise it might be – Learn 10 words per day Learn 1 grammatical rule per week Read a German newspaper

Referencing System :

Each Task you identify that requires your attention you then list on your 100DS in the Tasks Panel and then reference it to the project. You now have a creative process and can put the ideas inside your head into some semblance of accomplishable order. Turn your Projects into Tasks Referencing System

What about IDEAS? :

What about IDEAS? Well remembered again. Ideas are simply a place for you to go wild. Be crazy and creative. The aim is not to be organised. Anything g o e s That is why we have no structure.

“Final words?” :

“Final words?” That probably seemed like a lot. Well it is. No doubt about it.

Slide 54:

You don’t need to learn it all right now.

Slide 55:

That is why I have published a free ebook It has a lot more information in it.

Slide 56:

But I know you are busy. So I even converted it into a PDF that works on any mobile device. At 33 pages you can read it in your lunch break!

Slide 57:

You can download it for free from the 100DS website. 100DS also has social networking! You can ‘like’ it!

Slide 58:

I hope you find it useful.

Slide 59:

It would mean the world to me if you stopped by and said hello

It is thank you for watching :
