NSO Statistical Units Other Statistical Units in Line Ministries produce statistics mostly as by products of their administration. Statistical Units Statistical Units Statistical UnitsBackground: Background The NSO initially gathered the ICT statistics by incorporating a few ICT questions to the existing business surveys, namely; - The 2002 Business Trade and Services Census - The 2002 Business Trade and Services Survey - The 2002 Hotels and Guest House Survey - The 2003 Manufacturing Industry SurveyData Items Collected: Data Items Collected Use of computer Number of computer Number of persons using computer Use of internet How to access the internet Internet activities Use of web site Availability of website Activities on websiteCurrent Status: Current Status NSO conducts the ICT survey in order to gathering information to be used in developing national ICT indicators and formulation &monitoring the country ICT master plan.Slide6: Objectives : - To collect basic data concerning the usages of ICT in business operation. - To study, analyse and draw up of ICT indicator. - To evaluate and monitor the ICT master plan. Cycle of Survey : The NSO has annually carried out the ICT survey (Establishment). Survey Method : Face to Face interview methods.Data Presentation: Data Presentation Information of the establishment: Form of legal organization, no. of persons engaged, no. of employees, use of ICT, barriers on the use of internet and ICT, research and development of establishment. At regional level (4 regions) Bangkok Vicinity Whole Kingdom Classified by industry (2 digits and 4 digits level) and size of establishments (no. of persons engaged).Data Dissemination:: Data Dissemination: Preliminary report: about to 2 – 3 months after the field operation.
