Memories of Our Third Grade Year:

Memories of Our Third Grade Year As told by Miss Corbett’s Class 2004-2005 Robert Hunter Elementary School

Slide2:

These memories were gathered in Miss Corbett’s classroom. The students each created a slide, and Ms. Wintermute, the computer teacher put them together to make this slide show!

I Love Third Grade!:

I Love Third Grade! Crazy hair day was fun. I felt so excited and crazy with purple hair. I loved everybody else’s hair too. A lot of people’s hair was dyed different colors. Some people just put their hair in a weird position! Roxaboxen took a lot of hard work. Caleb and I did the school. We put Lego guys for the kids. We named it Roxaboxen Elementary School. We put toy trees for the trees. We also put a lizard in one of the trees! Roxaboxen looked like a real community with hospitals, fire and police stations, schools and of course houses! Third grade was the best! By Tommy

Third Grade Rules!:

Third Grade Rules! Field day was fun because we got wet and our class bet Mr. Miller’s class at tug-a-war! Field day was also fun because there were sports from different countries. Myths and Marshmallows was fun because we ate marshmallows and heard everyone's constellation story. Some of the stories were funny, like Harry Jeff. Mine was about a girl that played jokes on people and one of her jokes was so good the pumpkin in her story became a constellation. I will never forget all of these great memories of what I did when I was in third grade! By Taylor

3rd Grade was a Great year:

3rd Grade was a Great year These are some things I have done during the year. One of those things was Roxaboxen. A little fake town that we made out of all kinds of stuff. My friend Samantha and I made the playground. I made most of the things like the swing and rings. We also made little garbage cans and I put little pieces of crumbled up paper in them. Some Holidays that we had were the Christmas and Halloween parties. I think they were the best because we did projects and we ate food like cookies and drank juice. But I think out of all the parties the Halloween party was the best because we sang a song that was kind of like the Christmas song A Partridge in a Pear Tree. There was a Mayor speech that some of us did. I was nervous, but after I was done I felt better about it. When I saw the other students do it I saw that they were very nervous too but I thought they did good. By Shannon

Third Grade was the Best!:

Third Grade was the Best! The planet reports were so fun! On the day that we picked our planets for our planet reports, I was afraid that I would be picked last and would get a planet that I did not like. However I got Saturn, witch in my opinion was the best planet! I felt very happy about researching Saturn. I had a great time! I wrote out my report and got interesting pictures that everyone seemed to like. I was a little nervous presenting the report, but I think I did okay with it. The solar system was amazing. I liked writing about the solar system, and learning about it. I was soon fascinated by all the planets, moons, and stars. Even though I thought that the unit would be longer, I still enjoyed it. By Samantha

THIRD GRADE ROCKS!!!!:

THIRD GRADE ROCKS!!!! Beach day was so cool when your mom and dad come and brought you lunch outside. I had a beach day that was so fun my dad came and brought me Burger King. My sister and my brother came too. It was so much fun. Field day was so cool. My favorite game was every one of them. There was a relay race, By Robyn

Third Grade Rocks:

Third Grade Rocks Cursive is my favorite way to write. Capital N is my favorite letter. Capital Z is the hardest letter I can I write. I remember when I was struggling on cursive. I still am but not as much. I remember every day we would do our cursive page in our cursive book. I still have that book. I look at it and remember when I was bad at that letter. I enjoy cursive a lot. Cursive is my favorite writing. That’s what I like about cursive. By Nicholas

Third Grade Rocks! :

Third Grade Rocks! Did you like field day? Well I liked field day. I will remember getting wet. My favorite things were the water balloon toss, beating Mr. Miller’s class in tog of war, and getting freezing because I got soaked. My least favorite thing was the football kicking. I will always remember third grade. By Kilian

My Best Memory:

My Best Memory My first memory is beach day. My favorite part about beach day. Is that we got to eat lunch outside and sit with our friends and family to enjoy our lunch. My second memory is the solar system. We learned about nine different planets. Like the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and all other planets. And that is my memory . By Kheyanne

Third Grade Rules!:

Third Grade Rules! Have you ever been really excited about something in school? I have. In school, just a couple of weeks ago, we had Field Day! It was a lot of fun! They had games setup like tug-of-war, the scooter water relay, the balloon toss and the foxtail fling. Tug-of-war was really fun, I think, because we beat Mr. Miller’s class and my class of girls class beat Mr. Miller’s class of girls!! In the scooter water relay, we took turns on scooters but had to dip a sponge in the first bucket, ride our scooters to the bucket farther away and come back. However, if the person blows the whistle and you’re on the scooter you have to squeeze the sponge on your head and then you are soaked! In the balloon toss you have a partner across from you and you have to throw the balloon to each other. The foxtail fling was also very fun! You had to throw a tail (not a real tail). I will always remember my third grade year! By Kasey

Third Grade Fun:

Third Grade Fun When field day started I was excited to play the fox tall fling and everything else. It was fun. The hardest game for me was the football kick. When we did our planet projects I was really excited. On hat day I saw lots of funny hats but mine was really funny. By Jonathan

Third Grade Rocks!:

Third Grade Rocks! Do you remember Beach Day? I do! I remember eating with my friends and their parents outside on the grass. That was great! I want to remember Field Day because it felt great to play games and get soaked with my friends at school. I hope I remember Roxaboxen because I loved building the fire station out of a box with my partner. I would like to remember the third grade elections because I felt really nervous when I was going up to make a speech in front of the whole third grade. When I was finished I felt really proud of myself. I hope I remember all of these things and other special memories I haven’t put down. By Jason

Third Grade Rules :

Third Grade Rules In third grade I learned cursive with all the loops and turns. I really enjoy cursive. I liked learning multiplication and division. It’s hard to learn but easy if you practice. I really enjoyed the solar system. We learned all the planets and their moons. We also learned how long it takes each planet to go around the sun. I loved doing the planet project with my dad. We made the sun light up and made all the planets different colors and also put their moons. When we did roxaboxen that was the best! Hannah and I made the town hall. When we did our moon craters we dipped rocks and golf balls. We had the best holiday parties. We sang songs and had food. We loved holiday parties! When we dressed up for our dress up biography I was Tara Lipinski. When we had our third grade elections we went to see Mr. Marshall. Tommy was mayor and I was assistant mayor. I Will Always Remember Third Grade! By Jamie

My Third Grade Memories:

My Third Grade Memories On election day I was nervous. I said my speech and hoped to win. I was upset because I didn’t win but I was happy for Tommy and Jamie. I liked elections because I was able to go up in front of the whole third grade and say my speech. Roxaboxen was fun. I really liked Roxaboxen because we worked together to make a community. I will also miss Ms. Corbett, my third grade teacher. By Caleb

Third Grade Was Cool:

Third Grade Was Cool One of my favorite memories of third grade was an assembly. It was reptile man. He loved reptiles. He bought a south African crocodile. He said that they were all most extinct. He also brought a Boa constrictor named banana boy. He had a sister named banana girl. Banana boy was yellow and white. We almost got to see a cobra, but it was being too aggressive. When he lifted the lid it stared to hiss, so he put the lid down. But we did get to see a little of it, it was black and white. And that was one of my favorite memories of third grade. By Austin
