Message from Kat Whitfield:: Message from Kat Whitfield: Brothers, I am currently in Kentucky attending my company’s annual conference. This is why I, unfortunately, could not attend this conference. However, my thoughts are definitely with you all this weekend. Congrats on all your successes this past year. I am honored to be serving as your Region Director, and I look forward to even better things this next year! Shawn and Beta Mu put a lot of hard work into planning a great conference for you (thanks guys!). Thanks to everyone for attending. I hope you have a fantastic weekend and safe travels home!

APO LEADS SERVE Course: APO LEADS SERVE Course Course covers: Project Management Friendship andamp; Brotherhood Development Meeting Management Delegation Chapter Marketing andamp; Promotion Completion of LAUNCH is a prerequisite for taking SERVE.

National Marketing Program: National Marketing Program Studying our Strengths, Setting our Standards, and Sharing our Story. Let’s MARKET !


Marketing Program: Marketing Program Developing a National Marketing Plan (awareness) and a Branding Plan (identity) for APO. Researching internal andamp; external trends. Compiling media coverage catalog and templates for Chapters seeking media hits.


Marketing Program: Marketing Program Creating a National Graphics Standards Guide for use at all Fraternity levels. Providing ‘Tip Sheets for Marketing’ at the Chapter level. Testing high school outreach program.


Finance & Operations: Finance andamp; Operations


New Membership Fees: New Membership Fees New fees effective August 1, 2007. Pledge Fee: $25 Initiation Fee: $35 AAMD: $25


General Liability Insurance: General Liability Insurance Annual insurance fee ($7/per) begins in August, 2007. Will cover all members if the Chapter is in Good Standing. Does Not Cover:  Medical related issues.  Acts violating policies.  Acts resulting out of Negligence.  Illegal Acts.


The 1925 Club: The 1925 Club Recognition Program for students who donate to the APO Annual Fund. APO students making gifts of $19.25 or more will each be recognized in the 1925 CLUB, receive a lapel pin, and be listed in the Fraternity's Annual Report (the summer issue of the Torch and Trefoil). 


Annual Audit Required: Annual Audit Required Don’t forget…every Chapter needs to have the Chapter financial records audited every year. 'The financial records of each Chapter shall be audited annually by an official approved by the institution in which the Chapter is located, and a confirmation of the audit will be sent to the National Office upon request by the National Executive Director.' Alpha Phi Omega National Bylaws Article IX Section 18.

APO Youth Service Grant Program: APO Youth Service Grant Program Grants of $100-$500 for pro-active service benefiting youth. Email: Grant@apo.org 2008 Applications due next winter.


APO National Service Week: APO National Service Week Theme: 'Serving Children with Disabilities.' Dates: November 4-10, 2007 *Reports Due: November 15, 2007 *Required Get full information/goals via handbook on apo.org this spring.
