Disability Advocacy and Complaints Service of South Australia Inc.: 

Disability Advocacy and Complaints Service of South Australia Inc. Individual Advocacy, including an advocacy visiting service for people living in institutions and supported accommodation Systemic Advocacy, Self Advocacy, and Advocacy Training and Support, to all people with disabilities, including people with mental health issues. Open five days per week, responds to requests from all over SA through 1800 phone service. Branch Office in Whyalla, open 5 days per week Visiting service in Victor Harbour one day per week Visiting service planned in Murray Bridge and Mount Barker MoU with Indigenous Disability Advocacy Network in SA for outreach to APY Lands

Family Advocacy Inc.: 

Family Advocacy Inc. Individual Advocacy, Systemic Advocacy, for families of people who have disabilities Operates 5 days per week, 9 AM – 4PM. Central Office in Bowden Regional Offices in the Northern Suburbs: Modbury Southern Suburbs: Woodcroft Mid/Far North: Clare Regular visiting service to Kangaroo Island, Port Lincoln, Murray Bridge, Mount Gambier/South East Family Advocacy has lost all State funding in the June 2007 Budget and will have to cut services.

MALSSA Inc.: 

MALSSA Inc. Individual Advocacy, including an advocacy visiting service for people living in institutions Systemic Advocacy, for people with disabilities, their family members and carers and all disability types. Adelaide Office focus on people from a CALD background, where resources permit it is available to all people with disabilities Operates 5 days per week in Adelaide. Regional Offices in the Riverland: Berri (generic service) South East: Mount Gambier (generic service)

Independent Advocacy SA Inc.: 

Independent Advocacy SA Inc. Individual Advocacy primarily advocates for individuals with intellectual disability or who are labelled or treated as having an intellectual disability, responds to situations of extreme vulnerability and complexity, might include individuals whose lives are marked by similar characteristics but not labelled as having an intellectual disability, protective style and best interests driven social advocacy, values based, relationship based, guided by clear vision for whole of person’s life, medium to long term Strategic Advice to allies (including family members), other advocates, service workers Adelaide Office operating throughout the Adelaide metropolitan area, responds state wide where possible, travel to where advocacy needs to be conducted, freecall number, responds out of hours to current advocacy efforts

Citizen Advocacy South Australia Inc.: 

Citizen Advocacy South Australia Inc. Promotes, protects and defends the personal welfare and interests of people with intellectual disability by facilitating and supporting freely-given, one-to-one advocacy relationships between a vulnerable person with intellectual disability (the Protégé), who has pressing needs in one or more important life areas, and a suitable, responsible citizen (the Citizen Advocate) who is free from conflict of interest, who agrees to meet some of the Protégé’s practical and/or emotional needs. Some commitments may last for life. Adelaide office Operates throughout the Adelaide metropolitan area Primary disability type is intellectual however, people may also have other disabilities. Operates 5 days a week / support offered 24/7

Brain Injury Network South Australia Inc.: 

Brain Injury Network South Australia Inc. Individual Advocacy - Statewide Systemic Advocacy Training and support for self Advocacy Primarily for adults and children with acquired brain injury and their families. Operates 5 days per week. A 1300 number and a website provides access for country clients. BINSA has just lost all of their State funding for information and advocacy and only receives a small amount from the NDAP program.
