It Is Time to Demand Industrial Wind Power Generation before Total Meltdown We look at the history of nuclear energy and it is scarred with only a few major accidents. There have been only three major disasters, Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, and now the Fukushima disaster. While this number of accidents is small, the impact of these accidents is tremendous. Why do we keep putting ourselves at risk when there is a clean, reliable, and safe alternative? Industrial wind power generation is not a mystery. It is a proven system of generating power on a massive scale, but has only been implemented on a very small scale. The Alternative to Create a Safer Future Industrial wind power generation should be the focus of the future for our growing energy needs. Consider the other currently available options: Gas Fired Power Plants – Natural gas keeps rising in price, and is a limited resource. Coal Fired Power Plants – Coal is another limited resource. Burning coal with recent gains in technology is cleaner and safer, but is still a producer of pollution. Water Turbine Electric Generation – This is one of the most reliable sources of electrical power, but has one major problem. There are very few places which provide enough water flow to produce enough electrical power. Solar Power – Industrial sized solar energy plants require massive amounts of ground which becomes unusable for any other purpose. Wildlife cannot reside in the area of the solar power plant. Currently the technology to create high amounts of electrical energy does not exist. Nuclear Power – We already understand the massive risks involved with nuclear power. While overall it can be a safe energy source, those occasional disasters are on such a massive scale it should be considered a power option of last resort. :

How Does Industrial Wind Power Generation Stack Up? In comparison to our other choices industrial wind power becomes very interesting. Existing wind power plants have shown little impact on wildlife. The slow moving blades are safe for birds and do not create problems for other wildlife which may wander into their area. Pollution is non-existent with wind powered energy systems. The only two competitors in cleanliness are water power and solar powered systems. Wind energy potential exceeds both of these alternatives due to wind being widely available, compared to water power. It reduces the impact on nature compared to large solar generation plants. What About Land Space for Industrial Size Wind Turbines? This is one issue which is mentioned very often. When you consider in the USA there is a higher percentage of unpopulated land than populated land you may start to understand why this is a very small issue. With recent advancements in technology, Industrial Wind Power Generation is even possible in the ocean. These platforms pose no pollution risk like an oil drilling rig. Capturing the power of the wind to create power is a technology which must be embraced. It is the responsible choice for creating a safer, cleaner world, while still producing the energy we need. :
