Introduction NC Health Info: funded by the National Library of Medicine to collect and connect local health information with MEDLINEplus In development now! Staff of 3 & 2 PT grad students

Project background and status: 

Project background and status Partnership at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill Health Sciences Library School of Information and Library Science 2000- 2001: feasibility year 2002: development and release Scheduled launch in November

Selection criteria Different because the nature of the information is a directory, not medical Different meaning of “authority” on the local level Need to be more inclusive to be useful as a resource No blanket exclusion of commercial sites High priority given to local relevance
