Prior to this workshop, a series of successful biannual meetings entitled the China-Swedish Meeting on Nanometer-scale Science and Technology were arranged both in Beijing and in Lund, with the first meeting held in Beijing in 1998. The purposes of this workshop are manifold: To review and assess the latest progress in nanoscience and nanotechnology. To invite world leading experts in the related research fields as speakers. To promote collaborations between Chinese and Swedish researchers for fundamental science as well as for the emerging applications of nanoscience and nanotechnology. The meeting is to take place Around April , 2008 at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing.
