Wildfire Activity - Predictions

Executive Summary (from 4/30/06):

Executive Summary (from 4/30/06) Only slight improvement is expected in the long-term drought over the next several months. After a normal April through June period (which may mean lots of variation), I expect the summer to turn hot and dry by July. The Western U.S. should see a large increase in fire activity by this time after a slow start especially in the north. Overall, it looks like a busier than normal fire season.
