Premium member Presentation Transcript Slide 1: Using A PowerPoint In the CPS Software Slide 2: Loading a PPT into CPS To begin, click on the “Prepare” tab, and “Lessons & Assignments” Open a folder where you want to store the PowerPoint. Last, click the “Add Files” box to retrieve a previously created PowerPoint Slide 3: Browse to the location of your PowerPoint, select it, and click “Open”. Loading a PPT into CPS Slide 4: After clicking “Open”, your PowerPoint will be placed into the folder which you designated. You are now ready to engage the PowerPoint with your students. Loading a PPT into CPS Slide 5: Engaging a PPT in CPS To engage your ppt, select the “Engage” tab. Select “Lessons & Assignments” Click the box next to the name of your ppt to select it. Enter a title for the activity. Select the activity type. Choose the class that will be doing the activity. Slide 6: Engaging a PPT in CPS Click on “Engage-Teach” Slide 7: Engaging a PPT in CPS Your ppt will appear with the CPS engage bar along the bottom. Click “Verbal” to engage the student response screen. When this box appears, select the question type. Slide 8: Engaging a PPT in CPS The student response bar now appears along the bottom. When all of the students have responded, click “End”. Advance the ppt as you normally would, Click “Verbal” and enter the next question type. Slide 9: Engaging a PPT in CPS After each question, the charting screen will appear and show the student responses. To display the correct answer and how many students answered correctly, click on “Correct Answer” and select the correct response (the graph will indicate the correct choice and how many students made it) Slide 10: Engaging a PPT in CPS After completing the ppt activity, click “Close” and the end session box will appear. Click “Yes” to end the session and save the data from the activity. Slide 11: Need Help?
