ESTONIAN OLYMPIC ACADEMY: ESTONIAN OLYMPIC ACADEMY Permanent structural unit of the Estonian Olympic Committee Founded in 1989 in Tartu E-mail: eoa@eoa.org.ee Internet: www.eoa.org.ee

SCHOOL OLYMPICS IN ESTONIA: SCHOOL OLYMPICS IN ESTONIA School Olympics are perfect tool to explain the idea of Olympism, to give children a chance to enjoy physical effort and to bring Olympic Games to everybody in the school. The first School Olympics in Estonia recognized by EOA were organized in 1996. The national School Olympics project started in 2004.

SCHOOL OLYMPICS IN ESTONIA: SCHOOL OLYMPICS IN ESTONIA The School Olympics bring the Olympic Spirit to every child, allow students to enjoy sporting efforts, are not just ordinary sports competitions, but a festival for the entire school, are not national competitions that only the best qualify for – if such were the case, the objective (to bring the Olympics to everyone) would not be achieved.

SCHOOL OLYMPICS IN ESTONIA: SCHOOL OLYMPICS IN ESTONIA The program of School Olympics is wider and includes special Olympic weeks. In the program of Olympic weeks there are different lessons of Olympic history and Olympic principles, meetings with top-athletes, visits to Estonian Sports Museum etc. Olympic Hall of the Estonian Sports Museum
