Regarding the naming rights of a block of vines, it must be emphasised that a block is intended to have your personal “stamp” on it for the duration of the debenture.  You will participate from the planting of the stokke, which will take place in Sep 09, to the production of your own wine approximately three years later…. i.e. from the planting of your vines to the pleasure of your wine!

In the interim, we will provide you with 10 complementary cases of wines per annum selected from the Oude Jongh Estate collection (our previous farm opposite Val d’Or Estate with winemaker Dr Nigel McNaught from Stonybrook) as well as other wines from the area.  This will give you an opportunity to compare your own wine in due course… And while you might find it difficult to venture off the farm and away from Franschhoek, there are many sought-after golf courses nearby as well as scenic mountain hiking trails, horse riding and trout fishing to be enjoyed, to name but a few. And the vibrant city of Cape Town is a mere forty five minutes drive away. The Business Plan Further replanting of the Vineyard; Further planting of the Olive Grove; Renovating the Olive Grove Cottage to Four Bedroom Executive Suites; Renovating the remaining 2 Cottages to Self-Catering Units; Upgrading of driveway and parking area plus security fencing; Farmland Walkways; Wedding Chapel; Generators and further Irrigation; Second Pool & Jacuzzi Area at the Olive Grove Cottages; Establishment and completion of a wine cellar, olive press and a second dam (phase II).

12 The Benefits of Participating in Val d’Or Lifestyle Debentures: Participation in a wine and olive farm and the production of your own personalised wine & label (personal or corporate). Each Lifestyle Debenture holder also has naming rights to a block consisting of 250 vines – varietal of your choice! (will be producing 500 bottles of wine per annum). Once wine production commences, the first 10 cases of wine per annum (unlabelled) are complementary. Debenture payable in accommodation = 10 nights per annum for personal or business use; value = R12 500 p.a. (i.e. R1250 x 10 nights p.a.). PLUS discount on accommodation in excess of 10 days per annum (VPG). Proposed Lifestyle members are invited to participate at an entry level of R125 000 per (fully secured, 5-year) debenture, with no annual levies!
