Wash With Soap And Water Before You Start

Slide 3: 

Use medium heat (6) to cook the popcorn.

Slide 4: 

Put the oil in the pan. Enough to cover the bottom. (Make sure the lid is off.)

Slide 5: 

Put one kernal in the oil and wait until kernal pops.

Slide 6: 

Oops, two kernal are OK, still wait until they pop.

Slide 7: 

When first kernal pops, add 1/2 cup of popcorn.

Slide 8: 

Pour 1/2 cup of popcorn in the pan.

Slide 9: 

Pour Popcorn in Large Bowl

Slide 11: 

Measure 1/4 cup (4T.) of butter. Add to glass bowl.

Slide 12: 

Add 1/2 cup corn syrup to butter.

Slide 13: 

Add 1/2 cup sugar to butter and corn syrup

Slide 14: 

Add 1/4 teaspoon SALT.

Slide 15: 

Microwave uncovered on high about 2 minutes or until boiling.

Slide 16: 

Stir after 2 minutes, then microwave one (1) additional minute.

Slide 17: 

Remove carefully, syrup is hot.

Slide 18: 

Stir until smooth.

Slide 19: 

Use a toothpic to get food coloring from jar.

Slide 20: 

Add food coloring using a toothpic.

Slide 21: 

STIR, if more color is needed, use ANOTHER toothpic to get more color from jar.

Slide 22: 

Pour syrup on popcorn.

Slide 23: 

Add syrup to popcorn, stir from edges to center until well coated; cool slightly

Slide 25: 

Put butter on your hands OR Wash hands with cold water then shake off excess water.

Slide 26: 

Shape popcorn into balls.

Slide 27: 

This is another way of not getting your hands sticky. Use plastic bags or gloves on your hands.

Slide 28: 

Makes eight to ten popcorn balls. Eight popcorn balls will = 200 calories each.

Remember to CLEAN-UP
