Ms. Teresa MS NGAN ORGANIZINIG COMMITTEE AND SPEAKERS VENUE DATE AND TIME 4th CUHK DERMATOLOGY SYMPOSIUM DRC Welcome message 2007
Welcome to the fourth CUHK Dermatology Symposium. This symposium, under the auspices of the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics and the Department of paediatrics of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and with the most enthusiastic supports from our colleagues at the Social Hygiene Service, Centre of Health Protection and the Department of Health, is being
held consecutively for the fourth year.
A group of local dermatologists and physicians with a special interest in the various aspects of dermatology convened in 2004 to develop the First CUHK Dermatology Symposium. The objectives of the symposium are to provide a platform of exchange between dermatologists and other subspecialty specialists and to upgrade general practitioners and paramedics about dermatology management. The three preceding symposiums were indeed met with warm supports and were tremendous successes, and we are convinced that there is an ongoing need for organizing
such educational activity.
The Organizing Committee has prepared a scientific programme with updates that covers common but important topics relevant to our areas of interest. The topics will be discussed by experience local experts.
The advanced programme is detailed herewith.
The targets of the CUHK Dermatology Symposium are general physicians, paediatricans, family doctors, nurses, and other health care personnel who will encounter and manage skin conditions in their daily practice. We hope to give you enough tools to face the most contemporary adult and paediatric skin disorders, which are one of the commonest health problems in Hong Kong and worldwide as major causes of morbidity,
misery and impaired quality of life.
It is a great privilege for us to welcome you to the Symposium for what we know will be a valuable
and enjoyable programme.
Cordially,
CHUK Dermatology Symposium
