Premium member Presentation Transcript Dual Majors’ Advising Notes: Dual Majors’ Advising Notes Group Advising Sessions Located in 304 Curry Building Annette Cline’s March-April 2011-Advising NotesRequirements to be admitted into Teacher Education/Teachers Academy: Requirements to be admitted into Teacher Education/Teachers Academy Priority deadline is Sept. 1 of sophomore year. However, if slots are still available students can still be admitted until Dec. 15 of sophomore year. The Requirements to be admitted are: -Complete SES 250 OR TED 250 & TED 222 with a grade of at least a “C”. SES = Specialized --- -Education Services Department. TED=Teacher Education. -No grade below a C- in courses with the SES prefix is acceptable. -Have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher. -Pass Praxis I (PPST) with needed scores OR be exempt by SAT/ACT scores -Completion of satisfactory Criminal Records Check. Strongly recommended to stay on track for graduation, but not required for admission into Teacher Education : Complete GEC courses and LIS 120. -Remember you will start Teacher Education hopefully in the Spring of your sophomore year.
