In the short time that Mr. Pope was here at Greco, he was a bright light in our school. He had a smile to share everyday. He shared his ideas and offered help to his coworkers. He wanted students to truly understand their community and their responsibilities in their communities. He is dearly missed! (Ms. Rhoden) Mr. Pope was a great man. A very dedicated teacher and father. He was a hard worker who made others around want to do better, not just at work, but in life. I will truly miss him. (Mr. Tustin) Teachers’ Comments

Teachers’ Comments :

Mr. Pope is so missed. Every time I turn, I am forced to notice his loss because he filled so many important roles for us in 8th grade and of course, Greco as a whole. Greco will be recovering for a long time. (Ms. Cope) Mr. Pope was indeed a great asset to Greco Middle School. During the short span of time that he was here, he made a positive connection with students, faculty, administration and staff. We miss him immensely. (Ms. P.A. Cooper) Teachers’ Comments

Teachers’ Comments :

J.W. was only here at Greco for a short time but his presence will be missed. May God provide a place in His Kingdoms for J.W. Pope. (Ms. M. Alvin) I only knew Mr. Pope for a short while but it was long enough to see his passion for education especially sharing a wealth of historical facts. Had he been here longer, I am sure the entire school would have felt the impact of his commitment. (M.D. Greene) Teachers’ Comments

Teachers’ Comments :

Teachers’ Comments Mr. Pope’s patriotism and advocacy for veterans was admirable. I looked forward to planning Veterans Day with him this school year. Although he was only at Greco for a few weeks, he made such a positive impact. This is why we are dedicating our Veterans Day activities to him. He will be missed, however, we know he is in a much better place. (Ms. Keller)
