Lesson 1 Basic Macro

Spell Casts : 

Spell Casts The most common macro command is the casting command. */cast <spell name>* is the basic command for a spell cast. /cast Hunter’s Mark ? Oh Crap!

Chat Commands : 

Chat Commands Chat commands are another common macro function. “/say <text>” is used for general white chat. “/yell <text>” will effectively yell. “/1”; “/2”; “/3”; etc. will function for global channels. /say Hi there Philimyster, how are you on this wonderful day? /yell Ima doin’ da cha-cha! /1 The Ice Stone has melted. /2 WTS [Your Mom] lol /3 Crossroads is under attack… again. /whisper Trollsky 1g plz? (respond to last whisper) /r Sorry, my gold is soulbound.

Did it work? Yes! Congratulations! You have created a simple macro that you can use to bug the people around you. You have passed Lesson 1! No… Check spelling and punctuation. Macros are NOT case sensitive. If you can’t remember the spell name you can open your spell book and shift+click a spell to automatically paste it into your macro string. If you still cannot get it functioning feel free to ask me about it in-game. If you’re having trouble with these commands you will undoubtedly have trouble with the future lessons.
