Such shelters are doing a noble service to the poorest of the poor serving abandoned people, battered women and others in need. In the last two years, we raised several thousand dollars from the Charity walk event and donated cash to several shelters that provided help to victims of domestic violence, destitute pregnant women and disabled & elderly homeless people. We also helped fix leaky roof of a homeless shelter.
