Essential part of diet Cannot survive without it Flushes out toxins in organs Blood carries nutrients Digestion – saliva Thermoregulation Metabolic reactions Synovial fluid-lubricant Recommendations : Recommendations Men consume roughly 3 litres (about 13 cups) Women consume 2.2 litres (about 9 cups) This is to replace the fluid lost through; perspiration, urine and bowel movements.
