Why is water important? : 

Why is water important? Essential part of diet Cannot survive without it Flushes out toxins in organs Blood carries nutrients Digestion – saliva Thermoregulation Metabolic reactions Synovial fluid-lubricant

Recommendations : 

Recommendations Men consume roughly 3 litres (about 13 cups) Women consume 2.2 litres (about 9 cups) This is to replace the fluid lost through; perspiration, urine and bowel movements.

Our Possible Solutions : 

Our Possible Solutions Alternatives to water. Maintain drink machines around school more efficiently. Install more water fountains with better filters and cooling systems. More encouragement to drink water Sell more durable and presentable bottles

Future Questions What methods could be implemented in the school to ensure that students are consuming healthy amounts of water? What types of water are healthier for students? What can the school do to motivate students to drink more water?
