Visiting Teachers Objectives:: For the US and Canada: To obtain qualified teachers of Spanish. To foster cultural links between Spain, the U.S. and Canada.  Visiting Teachers Selection Process: Spain runs a yearly national call to recruit candidates. Spanish administrators make a first screening of applicants. Language and Culture Assistants: OBJECTIVES: Assistants provide support to teachers in Spanish language and culture classes in US/CA and in English in Spain. 35 in US/CA and 1060 in Spain CANDIDATES: Candidates must have completed a Bachelor of Arts degree. Assistants work up to 20/14 hours per week and receive teacher training. Language and Culture Assistants


Language and Culture Assistants: WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? Primary, secondary schools and CERs in the United States and Canada / Primary, secondary and language schools in Spain (12 regions). The Ministry of Education and Science of Spain Funds the assistant’s scholarship and the medical benefits. Provides local supervision. The US/CA school/college provides lodging and transportation.
