What do we discuss? Zara? Why is Zara’s flagship store located in IFC building? What do Zara’s balance sheets tell us? How has the recession affected the fashion industry? What are the economic and social costs of unemployment?

We study a wide range of topic areas :

Assessment – Higher level : 

Assessment – Higher level Paper 1 – Based on a pre-issued case study. Paper 2 – Structured questions based on stimulus material. Internal Assessment – worth 25% You investigate a real business problem. You carry out research, write a 2000 word report and make recommendations.

Assessment - Standard : 

Assessment - Standard Paper 1 Qs on a pre-issued case study Paper 2 Structured questions based on stimulus material. Unseen. Internal Assessment: A written commentary based on a business problem. Five sources are selected eg survey, interview, website articles, newspaper. 1500 word report.

It’s not just the course – the teachers are amazing and make it more fun. I love decision-making and strategy - coming up with ideas. It’s really useful. Any job I get will probably be in the business world.
