Slide8:

[1Co 2:14 ESV] The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. [1Co 2:15 ESV] The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. [1Co 2:16 ESV] "For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ. Kim Davis One article said she had marriage issues.

Slide10:

[1Pe 2:9 ESV] But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. [1Pe 2:10 ESV] Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. [1Pe 2:11 ESV] Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul .

Slide11:

Go Against The Flow [1Pe 4:1 ESV] Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, [1Pe 4:2 ESV] so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God. [1Pe 4:3 ESV] For the time that is past suffices for doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry. [1Pe 4:4 ESV] With respect to this they are surprised when you do not join them in the same flood of debauchery, and they malign you; [1Pe 4:5 ESV] but they will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

Slide13:

[1Co 1:26 ESV] For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. [1Co 1:27 ESV] But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; [1Co 1:28 ESV] God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, [1Co 1:29 ESV] so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. [1Co 1:30 ESV] And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, [1Co 1:31 ESV] so that, as it is written, "Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord."

Slide14:

[1Pe 2:4 ESV] As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, [1Pe 2:5 ESV] you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. [1Pe 2:6 ESV] For it stands in Scripture: "Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame." [1Pe 2:7 ESV] So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe, "The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone," [1Pe 2:8 ESV] and "A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense." They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do.

Slide15:

Count the Cost [ Luk 14:26 ESV] "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. [ Luk 14:27 ESV] Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. [ Luk 14:28 ESV] For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? [ Luk 14:29 ESV] Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, [ Luk 14:30 ESV] saying, 'This man began to build and was not able to finish.' [ Luk 14:31 ESV] Or what king, going out to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and deliberate whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? [ Luk 14:32 ESV] And if not, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace. [ Luk 14:33 ESV] So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple. [ Luk 14:34 ESV] "Salt is good, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored?

He who has ears to hear, let him hear ."

Slide17:

If God is highest authority then you obey His Commands. What is important is the WHY! [ Eph 6:1 ESV] Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. [ Eph 6:2 ESV] "Honor your father and mother" (this is the first commandment with a promise), [ Eph 6:3 ESV] "that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land."

Slide19:

[ Deu 6:5 ESV] You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
