Body: 

Body State your main points clearly! Use the clearest, most specific words available to support your points Be detailed in your explanations Cite Your Sources Aloud A minimum of four pieces of research

Remember Visual Aid keys Easily seen and read 24 pt. Minimum font Relevant and illustrative Main points 7 x 7 rule No more than seven lines per slide No more than seven words per line Body

Conclusions Signify conclusion verbally “In conclusion….” “Finally…..” “To Sum up…..” Remember to review main points clearly End with IMPACT!

Bridge: 

Bridge Must be used after introduction, within body between main points, and to signify conclusion. Bridges (within body) should move discussion from the current point to the next point clearly. Example - “Now that you know about Rob Craig’s education, let’s move on to the next point, his twenty years working as a teacher.

Delivery Skills: 

Delivery Skills Make sure your appearance is appropriate No jeans, no shorts, no t-shirts DRESS FOR SUCCESS! Keep eye contact as direct and consistent as you can. Keep your energy up! Remember that enthusiasm is the key to keeping your listeners interested.

Delivery Skills Put in more practice time! You’ll know you can handle the 7-9 minute limit. Your presentation will be perceived as more prepared and better received. LESSENS NERVES! Incorporate movement into your work!
