Some scientists say 4.6 billion yrs ago Others say about 15 billion yrs ago. Others say 25 billion yrs ago. There are a lots of theories about when the planets were born. Which is the hottest planet? : Which is the hottest planet? Venus is the hottest planet even though Mercury is closer to the sun. Mercury is closest to the sun. Why Doesn't the Moon fly off in space? : Why Doesn't the Moon fly off in space? Most Moons in the solar system are sufficiently small compared to the planets they orbit. The tidal effect on the Moon is static because the Moon no longer rotates in relation to the Earth. Where does the sun go at night? : Where does the sun go at night?
