Jousting: Jousting Knights jousted against each other and were
watched by large audiences. They wore
heavy armour to protect themselves.
Bear-Baiting: Bear-Baiting One of the most popular was bear
baiting. A bear was tied by its legs to a
post using a long chain and fierce dogs
were sent on it. The dogs tried to tear out
the bear’s throat while the bear tried to
defend itself. The bear and dogs fought
until the dogs were killed or the bear was
fatally injured.

other until one was killed or too injured
