Early life and education Steve was born in San Francisco. He was adopted by Paul Reinhold Jobs and Clara Jobs. Paul taught Steve how to work on electronics in the family garage. He went to Monta Loma Elementary school, Cupertino Junior High, and Homestead High School in Cupertino, California In 1972 Jobs enrolled at Reed College in Portland, Oregon . It was too expensive to go to college so he dropped out after one semester.

The most important invention is the first computer, the Apple I. This was important because it was hand made and was sold with a motherboard.
