Valley of Flowers ( vof ), a National Park of India and World Heritage site, a high altitude valley situated at 3600mts is open from July to September only & is Spread over 87 sq kms . Pristine water of Pushpawati river divides the enchanting valley in two. The pure air, dew on the bright flowers, sweet songs of birds rejuvenate the mind, body & soul. Brahmakamal Saussurea obvallata The road after Rishikesh hits the hill snaking through mountains & forest with Alaknanda roaring down in the valley. Passing through small hamlets & towns Devprayag , Rudraprayag Karanprayag , Nandprayag , Chamoli , Joshimath & finally Govindghat At places the forest is dense and at places sheer rock face cut road.
