Both horns are supposed to be identical to +/- 0.5 mm tolerances. 3- The shielding is re-installed, except for the block(s) in front the FCS. 4- From the passageway, slide stripline 1 upstream by 100 mm and fine adjust to the exact position of the horn. 5- The five nuts of the FCS are tightened. 6- The shielding blocks are placed in position in front of the FCS . 7- In the trench, outside the shielding the link section is reinstalled. 8- The cooling water flexible tube is re-connected Conclusions: Conclusions Even if… - Positioning tolerances of the crane conform to the technical specifications - All horn tolerances are respected - Fast coupling system is now much more easy to operate (new design) - Fine adjustment of the strip-line can be done from the passageway (new design) … the exchange of the horn remains a major operation. The procedure must be carefully prepared and fully tested before the beam starts. Outstanding: - Trailing hoses (water cooling + inert gas) - Final shielding configuration - Automatic clamping tool for shielding blocks - Trailer design You do not have the permission to view this presentation.
