Team Selection:

Team Selection -Invest in establishing a recruiting team Target market: high school/college students This provides students a chance to complete ROP work experience for high school and work study for college students. This opportunity would help students interested in the child development field and give them hands-on experience. Still maintain a variety of applicants of different ages.

Selection tools:

Selection tools Conduct customer service polls and take them into consideration when hiring employees. Customer satisfaction and/or customer complaints -Keep in mind the cultural diversity of those attending the parks and how your employees are a representation of the diversity. Find out what is important to your employees just to ensure that they will fit in with the organization and uphold the Rotary’s values - Also have current employees be included in the hiring panel, so they can see what their potential co-workers are like.

Conduct Recruiting Outreach:

Conduct Recruiting Outreach -Internal and external -Contact faith based organizations (churches, alliance groups). These organizations have access to a high number of people, they are in every community, and are free to welcome information that can be messaged to their congregation. -Identify areas where targeted applicants visit (colleges, shopping malls, hospitals, universities) establish a partnership and share information with the organizations. -Also hold external and internal job informational fairs. These fairs will help inform the employees and help them become informal recruiters of the organization as well.

Motivation:

Motivation -Have in-house competition amongst employees with the ability to win prizes. -Seek hotels to donate services in exchange for advertisements/sponsorships at the park .

Image And Community Perception:

Image And Community Perception -School districts -Raffles-seek car dealerships to donate a car to be raffled off, similar to valley children’s hospital. -Theme nights – have a dress up night where the parks focus on certain stories, for example Twilight or Harry Potter, etc. These theme nights can occur on holidays like Halloween, Easter, the fourth of July, etc.

Concessions:

Concessions -These should be accessible without having to ride the train -No access to the trains would allow the children to have a more personable experience and appreciation of their surroundings. -Also encourage picnics in designated areas of the park, by posting signs it encourages the importance of disposing of trash in the appropriate containers -The importance of disposing trash correctly could be tied in with the necessity of keeping the environment clean and how something as simple as throwing away our trash always helps .

Accessibility:

Accessibility - Children notice Storyland and Playland from the Fresno Zoo, but by the time they walk through the zoo, their minds become focused to what is going on in the zoo and forget about storyland/playland. -If more advertisements are put up they will not only remind the kids but remind their parents about storyland/playland .
