Weekly feedback insures effective communication for improvement CARs should not be the only feedback that is given Let’s go VISUAL! When you SEE the RESULTS, one has a better understanding of what else is possible! Quality Control: EVALUATE : Quality Control: EVALUATE Evaluating the Act makes the Plan more effective! Seeing Is Believing. When the failure rate is down, the Plan is working. How does the team respond? Taking suggestions and modifying future actions to the plan can take place. Quality Control: IMPROVE : Quality Control: IMPROVE “Without change there is no innovation, creativity, or incentive for improvement.” -William Pollard QC is not limited to carrying out these 4 steps. QC emphasizes continuously looking for ways to further improve quality. QC closes the gap between current and expected levels of quality as defined by Kirtas standards. Quality Control: Remember to FOCUS! : Quality Control: Remember to FOCUS! F: Fold-Outs! Don't forget to tag them in BSE and place a green tag inside the book. O: Overview! Check the entire book after scanning. C: Clamps, Centering and Counting! Watch your book placement in the cradle. U: Use Different Techniques! Utilizing snubber options...counting pages...using the bricks. S: Settings! Double check your camera and BSE settings BEFORE you begin you work!
