Week 1: 

Week 1 The first week of our project we spent creating props for our video. To create our props we made stars that the students colored and paper Mache planets with the students.

Week 2: 

Week 2 The second week of our project we introduced the dance steps to the students as well as the song that the children will dance to.

Week : 

Week Week 3 we came in early & decorated the green room with our props. We also continued to reinforce the students dance moves.

Week 4 & 5: 

Week 4 & 5 For week 4 & 5 we took our students to the green room and practiced the dance moves. They were quite surprised by the room so distractions were common.

Week 6 : 

Week 6 The final day we put everything together and finally recorded the children dancing.

Final Thoughts.: 

Final Thoughts. Brittany : Overall this experience has been very educational and inspiring. The kids that we worked with especially Robert were full of a positive spirit despite their disability. Seeing this I have a greater respect for people with disabilities and a better understanding of what accommodations I should provide for my students. I aspire to provide all my students the same opportunity of that of a child without a disability. These kids are very intelligent they just need someone to believe in them.

Final Thoughts: 

Final Thoughts Ruth: My final thoughts start with I will miss my students. This project allowed me to experience the educational needs many students face daily such as Robert. It also helped me realize that they shouldn’t be treated any differently, Robert is the same as anyone else. Accommodating Robert in a way that allows inclusion was the key to this project and it will help me with my future teaching.

Final Thoughts: 

Final Thoughts Stacey: My final thought about this project are that I learned so much about individualizing technology to meet a student’s needs. I also learned a lot about how to do green screen and what Chroma key is for future classroom technology projects. I know in my placement, we have already started working on what we might do.
