Premium member Presentation Transcript Energy Saving and Renewable Energy Programmes in Hungary: Energy Saving and Renewable Energy Programmes in Hungary Mónika Harmund Energy Centre - Energy Efficiency, Environment and Energy Information Agency Non-profit CompanyThe goals of the hungarian energy policy: The goals of the hungarian energy policy Strenghtening of the energy service’s safety; Reduce the dependence of energy import; Increased vindication of environmental protection’s respects; Improving the energy efficiency and energy saving; Extend the use of renewable energy sources (until 2010 the rate of RES has to be 7,2%); Increase the rate of green electricity to 3,6% until 2010; Reduction of energy intensity by 3,5% /year (assuming an annual growth of GDP of 5% /year and a growth rate of energy consumption of 1,5% /year; Saving of 75PJ/year (1,8 Mtoe/year) of primary energy sources; Reduction of 50 kt/year of SO2 and 5 Mt/year of CO2 emissions; Increase of renewable energy production to 50 PJ/year (1,2 Mtoe/year); Implementing the Kyoto Protocol – reducing the emission of CO2 until 2012 by 6% (according to the average emission of 1987).
