It is also a level of functional and/or metabolic efficiency of an organism, often implicitly human. At the time of the creation of the World Health Organization (WHO), in 1948, health was defined as being "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity".Health is a positive concept emphasizing social and personal resources, as well as physical capacities. Overall health is achieved through a combination of physical, mental, and social well-being, which, together is commonly referred to as the Health Triangle .Slide 4: ٠ ·Mαιηтαιιηg Hєαℓтн ●• Achieving and maintaining health is an ongoing process. Effective strategies for staying healthy and improving one's health include the following elements: Observations of Daily Living Personal health depends partially on one's active, passive, and assisted observations about their health in their everyday life. The information gleaned from such observations may be used to inform personal decisions and actions. Social Activity Personal health also depends partially on the social structure of one's life.positive social interaction as viewed by the participant increases many chemical levels in the brain which are linked to personality and intelligence traits.Volunteering also can lead to a healthy life. To be a volunteer, while gaining plenty of social benefits, people also take their mind off their own troubles.Slide 5: Hygiene Hygiene is the practice of keeping the body clean to prevent infection and illness, and the avoidance of contact with infectious agents. Hygiene practices include bathing, brushing and flossing teeth, washing hands especially before eating. This may help prevent infection and illness. Stress management Prolonged psychological stress may negatively impact health, and has been cited as a factor in cognitive impairment with aging, depressive illness, and expression of disease. Stress management is the application of methods to either reduce stress or increase tolerance to stress. Learning to cope with problems better, such as improving problem solving and time management skills, may also reduce stressful reaction to problems. Repeatedly facing an object of one's fears may also desensitize the fight-or-flight response with respect to that stimulus—e.g., facing bullies may reduce fear of bullies.Slide 6: How TO Stay FitSlide 7: ✩ How To Stay Fit (And Cool) Despite The Summer Heat With that out of the way, here are a few tips on how to avoid the heat and stay in shape throughout the summer below: Drink a Slushie to Keep Going To extend your endurance during your workouts and to stay cool, drink an ice slushie before your excercise routine. Drinking only syrup-flavoured cold water,we could run for an average of 40 minutes. Pick Up the Right Sport Some sports become more popular in the summer as a way to stay cool. If you're near a body of water, water sports like surfing, swimming, and diving allow you to stay cool under water's refreshing and will also keep you fit.Slide 8: Take Your Exercise Indoors It's great to take your workouts outdoors, but when the temperature gets a bit too high, the easiest way to avoid the heat is to stay inside altogether. Synonymous with air conditioning, gyms provide a good way to skip the heat. Gyms become overly packed in the summer for this reason, but if you can, try sticking to off-peak gym times to avoid the massive influx of people . Avoid the Sun When It's Strongest If it's possible, try avoiding exercise when the sun is at its strongest, in the middle of the day (between around 10am and 4pm). Instead, opt for some exercise in the early morning or late evening, when it's most likely to be cool out. In some places around the country, depending on how hot it gets, it's not odd to see people briskly jogging in the wee hours of the morning or closer to midnight. Exercise in Short, Regular Bursts Outside The heat can be oppressive, but another option to stay outside is to exercise is short bursts throughout the day instead of in one long, concentrated stretch. Instead of exercising outside for an hour, try exercising in four 15-minute segments throughout the day.Slide 9: ✩ How To Stay In Shape Steps Before you begin, set yourself some goals. Push yourself, but know your limit. Always go for morning jogs. Get some fitness videos and use them 3 times a week. Stay on track. If you forget to exercise one day, just do it the next day. Eat practical portions and make good nutritional choices. Overeating can work against all that progress you've made! This doesn't mean starve yourself, it just means take time while eating to let yourself know when you're actually full. Be careful about overtraining. It can be more damaging than too little excercise.Slide 10: Warnings Watch for fatty foods, especially foods with trans fat or a lot of saturated fat. Beware of McDonald's! If you have to eat there, eat the kid's meal.Beware of the salads, because they might seem healthy, but there are sometimes extras that can add up to about the same amount of calories on a Big Mac. If you start to feel light headed, dizzy, or really sick, then this means you are pushing yourself too hard!! For most fit people, this is a positive thing to work through.A little discomfort can be good in a healthy person, but you should stop immediately if the pain is anything more than minor discomfort, as continuing in such a situation can seriously jeopardize your health. Only eat junk food once in a while. If you like doing to McDonalds or KFC or whatever, try to not go there more than 2 or 3 times a month. Don't get addicted to fast food! Its ok to have it once in a while, but limit it! You can have serious muscle damage if you take on too much in the beginning before you have built yourself up.Slide 11: ✩ Fitness Tips For Teens No Couch Potatoes, Please: Watching TV? Surfing and Chatting? Are you accompanied by a bag of chips? Watch out! Sitting and vegging occasionally is great - - but for many hours a day, it's not good. Same for the chips - a few are cool. A bag - NOT. Get some fresh air and some non-virtual exercise. And an apple also! Find a Sport You Love: ...and stick with it. Shooting hoops, running, kick-boxing - anything that you enjoy that makes you move your muscles. Start Small . Nobody expects you to run 10 miles on your first day. You need to work up to these things. In fact, if you do too much too quickly you're likely to either burn out or seriously injure yourself. Walking is good. Find a buddy . Things are easier when you've got someone to help you along the way. Team up with a friend and exercise together. Even if you can't exercise together, you can still motivate each other.Slide 12: A Few Good Meals: DO NOT STARVE. It's simple. If you deprive your body of food, it will eventually deprive you of proper function. You should not be consuming entire boxes of cookies, either. But there is a happy medium - well-balanced, healthy meals that fit your eating style. You need to get enough carbohydrates, fruits and vegetables, meat or fish or poultry, and dairy products - all of them, every day.Slide 13: ☺ FitNEsS QuOTeS ( ๏ ̯͡ ๏ ) Those who do not find time for exercise will have to find time for illness. To eat is a necessity, but to eat intelligently is an art. The best way to keep your health is to eat what you don't want, drink what you don't like and do what you'd rather not. Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it.Slide 15: Bibliography www.google.co.in www.wikipedia.com www.ask.com www.googleimages.comSlide 16: Thank You..!
