Burning a DVDPowerPoint Presentation: Time Management… Sports stories can happen unsuspectingly at any time of the day which is why I always have to be ready to grab clips of players involved in the story and have them in by a certain time so there is no time for fooling Around. -ex. Talking about sportsPowerPoint Presentation: Staying On Task Focusing on the task at hand is very important in any workplace especially at a place like The Score where there is so much to do and there are a lot of deadlines to be met. –ex. Not using the computer for personal use.PowerPoint Presentation: The skills that I was good at are being organized, timely, and friendly. I was always organized and ready for any task that was given to me and completed it in a timely fashion. I used my time management skills very well as I always completed my tasks and had them submitted before the deadline that was given to me. I thought I was very friendly and I got along really well with my co-workers and we could talk about sports all day and had some very good laughs together.PowerPoint Presentation: The skill I need to work on is staying on task. I always got my tasks done on time but if I had a few minutes on my hands then I got carried away doing personal stuff on the computer when I should’ve been looking for more jobs to do. I believe these four skills need to be taken to any workplace because they are all very important to being successful in any job that I have in the future.PowerPoint Presentation: Connections Between Related Subject and Work at Placement The school which my placement relates to is: Broadcast (TGV4UC) Interdisciplinary Learning (IDC4UC) The two areas of learning are: Using DIVArchive and Editing shows Getting clips from DIVA for producers and submitting them before the given deadline and editing shows on time to air them on TV. Helping co-workers with their tasks and working together on shooting live shows Following their orders to help them get their task done and getting along with them to make the work experience better. Shooting a show takes a lot of hands on deck and a lot of communication so working well together is key.PowerPoint Presentation: I learned that time management is a very important part in any job as deadlines always have to be met and that there is always something to do, even when you don ’ t think there is and that the best thing to do is stay on top of your jobs instead of falling behind because it is too hard to come from behind. I need to learn to stay on task because if I found I had a little time on my hands I would want to use my computer for personal uses and not find other jobs to do so I think that staying on task is important in any workplace and in school.PowerPoint Presentation: Safety Taking a 5 minute break every hour: -Working at a computer all day can be very hard on anyone's eyes and on the rest of their body so just to get up and walk around for a few minutes every hour is very important for my health and safety. Not to touch electrical equipment: -For my safety I was not to touch any of the electrical equipment. If there were any problems I would just call the tech shop and they would fix the problem. Know fire routes out of building: -Knowing the fire routes out of the workplace is very important in any workplace for your safety.PowerPoint Presentation: Education and Career Information The only requirements for a job as an archivist at The Score is that you have to have a college diploma towards journalism or broadcasting and to hand in a resume. The are many job opportunities at The Score, some of them include: Editor Cinematographer On-air personality Producer Accountant Website writer Switcher Receptionist Screenwriter Etc…PowerPoint Presentation: Projects I Worked On The following link is one of the main things I worked on at The Score.
