Slide 16:The restaurant sector makes billions of dollars every year in Turkey and millions of people work in that industry. However, there are many reasons why eating with friends or family at home is better than eating out at a food shop. The two most important reasons are because it is cleaner and there is more variety. First, when you cook food at home, it’s easy to know how clean the food is, and how well the kitchen is taken care of. Unfortunately, many restaurants do not keep their kitchens as clean as they should. Some foods, especially meat might not be cooked well enough at a restaurant kichen either. On the other hand, when you cook your own food at home you can make sure vegetables have been cleaned enough and the meat is well cooked. In addition, at restaurants there are only a few meals that customers can chose from. For example, kebap restaurants usually don’t have fish. This means you have to choose from limited options, but when you cook at home, you can make whatever you feel like eating that day. In conclusion, it might seem nice to eat at a restaurant but it’s usually better to just eat at home. I always prefer to eat dinner at my own house.
