He created a place known as Lakeview and built it to be one of the most prosperous simlands. Even the poorest sims could say they were happy. Slide 3: So when The Warden gained magic in his realm all believed their prosperity would only grow. However, something went horribly wrong. The townies do not know what happened, but suddenly everything went dark. And when the clouds finally cleared from their minds, nothing was the same. Slide 4: All the sims that The Warden had created seemed to be gone and so was the simplayer’s self that had walked among them. The magic appeared to be gone as well and everyone expected that soon The Warden would return and Lakeview would rise back to the prosperous land it had once been. Slide 5: After a full sim year, the Warden’s face appeared once more before the sims of Lakeview. However, this man was not the kind and gentle Warden they’d known. This man called himself Darwen and inflicted harsh restrictions upon all who dwelt within Lakeview. For years the townies lived under the tyrannical rule of Darwen with seemingly no hope of it ever coming to an end…. Slide 6: You ready for this kid? As ready as I’m likely going to get, Warden. Hopefully I won’t let you down. You’ll do fine Ana. If any of my creations can save Lakeview and bring me back it’s you. Just remember, until my simself gets back I can only provide your family with limited protection. In other words don’t take any unnecessary risks. Got it. Slide 7: Everyone meet Ana Graham, the founder of my five generation legacy to rebuild my oldest and once most prosperous neighborhood Lakeview. Right now she’s not living in the most wonderful place, but at least she’s not letting it get her down. Slide 8: Ana began her second life in Lakeview under much different circumstances than before. Like all CAS sims since the disaster, Ana was given a huge 5x5 lot and told to essentially rough it. The papers would arrive shortly assigning her a job within the community. Slide 9: It didn’t take Derek long to arrive, and even less time to realize who she was. “Ana Graham?” the teen asked in surprise, “Is that really you?” Ana smiled, “Yes, it’s really me.” “Are Byron and Bryon here too? And what about Nevaeh?” Ana shook her head sadly, “No Derek, it’s just me. I’m the only one here.” “Oh. Well I better get going. Sorry.” Slide 10: “Well Darwen, let’s see what we’ve got here.” Her blue eyes scanned the job assignment that Derek had left her. All sims were assigned a job in Lakeview on their first day. You got what you got, too bad if you wanted something different out of your life. Luckily, Ana didn’t care about her job. All she wanted out of life was to reach her Golden Anniversary. So working as a cop wouldn’t bother her at all. Slide 11: Nice work on the chance card selection, Warden. Well thanks, hopefully I won’t get you fired. I can’t hit the ignore button until you or a descendent reaches the top of a career. And if you get fired, you can’t get another job. Man, these restrictions suck. Just hang in there, Warden. My family’ll get things set right as fast as we can. Slide 12: The next day, Ana came home from work to find Goopy GilsCarbo standing on her front lawn. “Well, the kid was right. You are back Ana.” “Hello Goopy. What brings you here, the town gossip?” “Nah, apparently I pissed Darwen off so I’ve been arranged to marry you by Sunday or else.” Slide 13: “Oh Goopy I’m so sorry.” Ever sympathetic she reached out to give Goopy a hug, which he accepted. “We’ll work something out. I’ll talk to the Warden see if there’s someway out of marrying me.” Goopy gave a lopsided grin, “That’d be great. No offense Ana, but I’m not to keen on being forced into marrying a gal.” “Well of course not. Who would be. We’ll get this straightened out.” Slide 14: Early Wednesday morning Goopy arrived. “So?” Ana placed a hand on her hip and sighed, “I’m afraid Warden says he can’t do anything about Darwen at the moment. He’s really sorry, but it looks like you and I are going to have to get married.” Slide 15: “Okay, explain to me how the Warden can’t do anything about it? He’s here isn’t he? I mean you’re here.” Her face said it all. “It’s just you isn’t it?. So..then how..” “I’m a CAS Goopy don’t you remember.” “Oh that’s right you hear his voice inside your head don’t you? Well, I guess I’m moving in on Saturday night huh?” Slide 16: She hated this. Ana had been happily married to Byron and now he was gone along with her son and daughter. And now she had to force man to move in, marry her and have a baby with her against his will. If he cheated on her, could she really hold that against him? In these circumstances? Could she really live with a man for her whole life that she knew didn’t love her? For the first time since this whole thing started, Ana realized what this might mean. Slide 17: He watched her face fall and the townie began to feel guilty. He’d always liked Ana. They’d always gotten along in the previous life, so why couldn’t they do it here. He knew they were in a bad place, but if Ana was here at all that had to be a good sign. If he could help out in fixing this place right again, and it meant he had to marry Ana and have a few kids, well then he’d just suck it up and do it. “Hey come on babe. We’ve still got a few days before we really have to worry about all that stuff. What do ya say to an old fashioned waterballon fight?” Slide 18: She hadn’t been able to say no. Slide 20: “Hey Ana, let Goopy know that he stil pulls the best waterballon fight faces of all time.” “Sure.” Slide 21: Right after I nail him with this waterballon. Slide 22: As Saturday drew closer and closer, Ana’s small hut had started to become a home. Her quick elfish mind made skilling a breeze. She painted to keep her mind off of the impending move in. And she kept telling herself that she wasn’t falling head over heels in love with Goopy GilsCarbo. Slide 23: But the fact was that she was quickly falling in love with Goopy. She loved how he seemed to be trying to take a stand against Darwen. And it seemed that he could be the perfect person for helping her with the task that had been placed in front of her. But Goopy had been strangely quiet when it came to the move in. Goopy had chosen to stay quiet on the matter since he wasn’t quite sure himself. He’d never been in love with Ana before, and now to think that he was in love with his former best friend’s wife was a little creepy. But Byron was gone, or so it seemed. But could he really let himself all head over heels in love with Ana? What if Byron came back? Slide 24: But Goopy moved in Saturday night as planned. He surveyed the house and smiled. “Glad you put the black on the walls. Your life color still red?” Well that color always suited her. Welcome to the house by the way. Wait, Warden? I thought you could only talk to Ana like this.” Goopy I can only talk to playables. You moved in with Ana, so now you can hear me in your head too. Hey buddy, I see that want in your want panel. Go for it. Not sure if this’ll make it easier, but Byron’s not coming back. He can’t. He’s gone. I think I can safely say that if anybody had to look after his Ana bear he’d want it to be you.” Slide 25: Some of his fears relieved, Goopy wasted no time. He slid down on one knee in front of Ana. “Ana, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?” Ana wrung her hands nervously, “Really? You really want to marry me.” Goopy smiled from ear to ear. “Yes, I really want to marry you.” Slide 26: Ana flung herself into Goopy’s outstretched arms. “Yes!” Slide 27: Sunday morning, Goopy and Ana wasted no time in tying the knot in a private ceremony. Both sims seemed to be taking the warning about not taking unnecessary risks to heart. Goopy was more than willing to take Ana’s last name in legacy tradition. As a side note these two really did want to get married despite the lack of chemistry. They are such a cute couple. Slide 28: And since Service sims are not currently allowed to be hired for any reason, Goopy had to fix anything that he broke himself. He didn’t seem to enjoy having water sprayed in his face each morning, but he and Ana soon set down the rule you break it you fix it. Unfortunately that meant Goopy would be doing a lot of repairs. Slide 29: A lot of repairs. Slide 30: It was at the end of a late night patrolling the streets that Ana found she was at last expecting a baby. She was thrilled, but how would Goopy react? Slide 31: It turned out, Goopy couldn’t wait to be a father. He’d never really thought about having kids before, but now that he was married to Ana and she was pregnant he quite liked the idea. “It’s too bad this’ll be the only one.” Ana sighed, “I was hoping for twins.” Goopy felt a pang of sadness “Because this is the only pregnancy we’re allowed.” Ana nodded as she rubbed her belly. “Yes, and no. He said it would take the birth of two children in a family to allow him enough power to get anyone in. And after this one we can’t have anymore.” Slide 32: Pregnancy wasn’t too hard on Ana and she found she was anxiously counting down the days until her little girl was born. Although her elvish blood gave her the ability to know that her child was a girl, it didn’t tell her how they would look or what their personality would be like. Slide 33: Goopy was now the main provider of the family’s funding while Ana was on maternity leave. But he was the vice president of a local run business organization. It wasn’t in his chosen field, and if he’d still been single he wouldn’t have hesitated to risk taking a job in his desired field using a fake identity. But not now. He had a family to think about. Slide 34: The long expected day finally arrived at the beginning of winter. There was a fresh snowfall on the ground and the sun shone brightly the day the Graham family welcomed in their daughter. Slide 35: They named her Lexa, and she had inherited her father’s dark hair, but her mother’s blue eyes. She was a very easy going baby who hardly seemed to need attention, or perhaps she didn’t need it because someone was always around to dote on her. Slide 36: Ana found she couldn’t keep her mind off the restrictions that inflicted Lakeview. She couldn’t help, but want to do more. Being able to hear the warden inside her own head wasn’t as comforting as having an actual simplayer to combat Darwen and his nefarious deeds in person. She and her family were essentially still completely on their own. Slide 37: But babies don’t stay babies for long, and before her parents knew it Lexa had grown into a toddler who seemed to love pink. She was in fact an elf like her mother before her and showed from an early age that she was highly intelligent. Skills came naturally for Lexa, rendering the no smart milk restriction useless. Slide 38: “She’s walking already? But she’s only been a toddler 3 hours.” Ana laughed, “Elves tend to learn faster than others.” “Yeah, but 3 hours?” Slide 39: But it soon became obvious that Lexa was a complete daddy’s girl. She followed Goopy everywhere and never grew tired of the tickles and stories. And Goopy never seemed to grow tired of lavishing her with endless attention. Slide 40: But Lexa was more than able to entertain herself and never grew tired of all her toys. Her mother had sold a masterpiece so that her little girl could have every skill object available to her. Ana wanted to make sure that she provided Lexa with every opportunity to become a healthy successful adult. After all she was likely the only one they’d ever have. Slide 41: “I just don’t know about this Ana. There’s no guarantees. It’s a huge risk. What about Lexa?” Ana licked her lips. “I know. And I don’t plan on taking that huge a risk Goopy. Warden can give us some protection. Darwen doesn’t even realize I’m one of Warden’s creations yet or why I’m here.” “Yes, but if we start breaking too many restrictions too soon he’s going to wise up.” “Goopy, I can’t do this alone. If you really don’t’ want to try it, then we won’t push it.” Slide 42: So this is where I leave you. What is the big risk that Ana is thinking about taking? Will she and Goopy decide to take it in order to lift a restriction from Lakeview? How will Lexa’s super intelligence help her as she gets older? How long can the family fly under Darwen’s radar before he figures out why they’re there? Join me next time to find out! You do not have the permission to view this presentation.
