Introduction: 

Introduction It is one of India’s largest IT and softwere companies. Revenue-$1.6 billion,with 49000 employees worldwide. It has lowest attrition rate. It was rated “India’s most respected company”.And worlds best in training and development. It was first indian company to be listed in NASDAQ.

Progress in Infosys: 

Progress in Infosys 1981-Investment of infosys with investment of US$250. 1987- Establishment of Software development Center in Bangalore, and its 1 st international office in California,US . 1988-Bagged its first major order from Reebok. 1989-Bagged its another major order from Digital Equipments . 1993 Successfully completed its IPO and its shares became one of the most popular one in stock exchange.

Progress..cont… 1995-Became 5 th largest software exporter in India 1996/97-Set up its office in U.K and in Canada. 1999-Achieved annual revenues of $100 million. 2001/02-It was rated as a “BEST EMPLOYER IN INDIA” 2005/06-Crossed $1.6 Billion in annual revenues and around 50K employees.

Recruitment Process: : 

Recruitment Process: Getting job at Infosys was considered very tough as it admitted only 1% of applicant. In 2003 out of 0.6 million applicants only 6200 were hired. In 2005 out of 1.3 million applicants only 15000 were hired.

Major attrition drivers: 

Major attrition drivers Improper recruitment. Lack of proper training. Lack of communication and positive direction among the various levels of the organisation . Ambiguous organisational values and mission. Inequitable pressures and rewards. Overwork and burnout.

Analysis: 

Analysis In 2004, Infosys launched ‘Campus Connect’. Through the ‘Campus Connect’ program, company aimed at reducing training cost by atleast 40-50%. Infosys U : In February, 2005 at the 315 acre Mysore campus of Infosys with investment of $65.4 million was one of the biggest corporate training centre in the world. The centre had 2350 rooms, 58 training rooms, 183 faculty rooms, state of the art library and a cyber café with capacity to train around 15000 fresher’s in a year. In 2006, it had the capacity to train over 4000 fresher’s at a time and had plan to increase the capacity to ten thousand by 2007.

Conclusion: 

Conclusion To sustain in the competetive IT environmnet innovation is the key.Infosys come up with idea of training center where they train their employees.
