Slide 3: Experts estimate that the reserves of the Eastern peat company range from 10 to 20 million tons of low-land peat Slide 4: The Eastern peat company‘s low-lying peat possesses unique properties as a fertilizer, environmentally friendly fuel, an effective adsorbent Slide 5: Fertilizer Peat is used as fertilizer by agricultures and farms, greenhouse holdings, organizations dealing with planting with trees and gardens, landscape design. Slide 6: Peat is the organic layer, the result of marsh plants’ decay owing to high humidity and lack of oxygen. Peat consists of vegetable fibre improving the content of air and water in it, humic acid activating the growth of vegetables and micro elements. Slide 7: A low-lying peat is an indispensable fertilizer in agriculture: - it’s the basis of the fertile soil; - for improving soil of any kind from sand to loams; - in enriching mineral part of soil with organics and nutrients; - leads to improvement of physical characteristics – bounds sand and loosens clay; - does not oxidate chemical reactions in soil; - gives atmosphere carbon dioxide; - keeps humidity in soil. Slide 8: This is achieved thanks to unique characteristics of low-lying peat of The Eastern peat company . 1. Ash-containing elements - 11,3% This fact proves the high content of organic elements in peat. 2. Humidity - 36,07% Peat with such level of humidity will not absorb humidity from the soil after plants’ watering 3. Nitrogen - 1,14% The high level of nitrogen leads to rapid growth of plants. 4. Potassium - 0,05% that contributes to protection of plants from diseases. 5. Phosphorus - 0,14% that feeds plants during the period of blossoming. 6. Acidity - 6,05% Our peat is characterized by neutral reaction. Slide 9: Fuel Low-lying peat is used as fuel in energetics. At the moment EPC works on production of peat pellet*. Pellet* are standart-shaped cylindrical particles compressed from peat, wooden and agricultural waste Slide 10: Peat in compressed form (pellets) may be used in a modern automated system of fuel injection. With equal calorific capacity, peat gives heating plants can not use wind, low-quality coal Slide 11: Peat can be used in boilers of any capacity - from heating homes to a large thermal power station. Replacement of fuel oil and coal to peat will dramatically reduce the volume and the list of harmful emissions into the atmosphere and will save on carbon payments. The ash generated from combustion of peat (pH >6), can be used as fertilizer for the soil. Slide 12: Today peat is the most of cheap energy: the cost of making the conventional unit of electricity from peat at least four times lower than that of coal and fuel oil, and almost two times lower than from natural gas. Slide 13: Adsorbent Lowland peat is an excellent adsorbent. Use it to restore oil-contaminated water and land. Degradation of oil in the soil or surface water is due to micro-organisms, which act as a catalyst in oil. Slide 14: The microflora of peat, which develops in a half-decayed organic matter, is highly destructive activity and does not require a long training period in the case of soil contamination by oil products Slide 15: The process of oxidentation by bacteria passes in aerobic conditions. What can a few times to speed up the natural oil-oxidizing capacity of peat. Slide 16: The improvement of surrounding territory near the objects as well as its environment like air and water is the result of absence of petroleum overflows. Slide 17: Sorbents based on peat are cheap, have high oil intensity (from 4 to 10 g / g) and hydrophobicity, provide a unique ecological purity of adsorption. Slide 18: Owing to its unique biological characteristics low-lying peat solves a number of agricultural tasks. Slide 19: Our clients can be proud of themselves as they bring back nature its virginity and fertility saving it for future generations. . Slide 20: The Eastern Peat Сompany is your efficient investment.
