From my side, I promise to make the presentation very generic, interactive and lively. I am an Engineering graduate from BITS Pilani, having done B.E. (Hons) in Electrical and Electronics from 1975 – 80. Why I do this? : Why I do this? I see a lot of youngsters employed by Big Corporate earning good salaries; some of them splurge it away on Clubbing and Pubbing without caring two hoots for what could be lying in store for them. Some others are blissfully un-aware of the benefits of starting their savings plan at an early stage in life. I offer a 90 minute crash course in investment, helping them consolidate their gains, cover their risks and strive for higher levels of success. Where all have I done this? : Where all have I done this? I have already made the presentation to: 1. Educational Institutes like ISB, ASCI, IBS, BIMTECH 2. Institute of Chartered Accountants of India 3. Institute of Companies Secretaries of India 4. Core team comprising of senior executives from HR, Learning Centre and Finance departments of a lot of Corporate in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai 5. Corporate like Sasken, Infosys, Wipro, Motorola, IBM, iGATE, TCS, Polaris, Symantec, Satyam, Symphony, … (420 sessions covering over 21,000 employees) What topics do I cover? : What topics do I cover? The presentation covers: 1. Creating avenues of passive income through investment in Real Estate, Stock Market, Mutual Funds, etc. 2. Creating wealth in a Tax Efficient manner 3. Managing the avenues of passive income created 4. Understanding the financial and other risks associated with various types of investment. 5. Consolidating gains and striving for higher levels of success. 6. Covering the personal risks that each person is exposed to so that they emerge victorious even in the worst case scenario. How I start … : How I start … I will start the presentation by telling the audience that they are all very successful people. To remain successful, they must consolidate their gains and then strive to achieve greater heights. The secret of successful people is that they enjoy sustained success throughout life by planning essential things in life and becoming a master of the circumstances rather than remaining a victim of the circumstances. If you start resting on your laurels at frequent intervals, the overall growth will be stunted and end result will be markedly different. The real time to rest on your laurels is after retirement (not necessarily at 58 !!!). As they say "You can never grow old; you suddenly become old the day you stop growing". Look at Azim Premji, Ratan Tata, ... How I end? : How I end? I will end the presentation by saying: Give your Name, Date of Birth, amount you wish to invest, the duration for which you wish to make the investments, special requirements if any (like you want Rs 20 lakhs after 10 years to send your son abroad for higher education) to a few investment consultants of your choice and compare the returns after 10 years, 20 years, 30 years ...; then select the most appropriate policy by doing prudent risk management where-in you minimize cost and maximize benefits. As a trained Consultant, I can help them in this exercise without bias towards any particular vendor. What next? : What next? 1. I encourage the participants to fill up the Need Analysis Form and Email it to me. 2. I analyze their current portfolio and future needs and suggest best options – they would end up investing in a combination of Real Estate, Stocks, MFs, PPF and insurance. 3. Am I vendor specific? NO, not at all 4. Any strings attached? None. They are free to invest on their own after taking advice. How much do I charge? : How much do I charge? To the corporate: Rs 5000 per session of 90 minutes followed by Q&A for 30 minutes. This can be waived under certain conditions. To the Clients: Pay-if-you-profit by arranging presentations in your office / residential complex and asking your friends to attend. How does your Company benefit? : How does your Company benefit? Those who attend will be charged up by the end of the presentation. Their self-confidence levels, desire to consolidate and to achieve greater success will improve dramatically. As I will be touching upon some core values in life, the team spirit will also improve. People are much less likely to leave prematurely and voluntarily if they are learning, recognized individually, valued and appreciated, building their career toward their dreams, and part of something that is valuable to their organization and society. When people are truly engaged and energized in their work and career, they spread that energy, and the entire organization thrives. What’s the best way to go about it?
